"Better than some, worst than others"
Take it easy. There is a lot of room for growth. Just remember that you never woke up knowing something without first learning it. That applies to everyone...idk about Beethoven...the piano child prodigy. But it might be worthwhile believing that there is a lot of practice that went on behind the scenes that we just don't include in the narrative. Because no one, I mean no one, is just great at anything without a lot of practice. Yes, we have our certain skills... but honning in on the craft of the skill, think about it.
It can take years to become great at skill or craft. And even when we get good, several years more to feel like we're the best at it. Dedication and perseverance are a must. And it is up to you to make it happen. If you fall, get up and try again. When you eventually succeed, know that it was you who put in the work to get you there. Trust the process. Nothing happeneds over night and everything, naturally, takes time.
Because, if we want something. Getting/staying sober or meeting any big goal, we have to lean in and apply ourselves. It's not realistic to think we will just be "perfect" the first or 2nd time we try it. We get to learn how to communicate as a baby. We don't just know how to and get it right the first time we try. It required guidance, observation, and patience! If you want it badly enough, you can make it happen. The willingness to fail until met with success is also a worthy strength you get to develop. It's a gift for the living.
"Better than some, worst than others," remember this, and let it light an inner fire. You are strong because you are still here. Get what's yours.
